  1. Hey John! Can you send me some? I won’t be doing any baking this year at all. Still can’t stand long enough to be able to make anything. I still use a walker to get around. I was able to put up a small tree though, and my nativity scene.

    • Beverly, not baking this year. I would be too tempted to eat my cookies and other desserts but I will next year. It’s a shame because I had the throw out all my lekvar I made last year which was still perfect in my fridge.

    • John I make these as well as the cream cheese butter flour version for Christmas, but what I do different is instead of rolling them out in flour and sugar which can make them denser I roll them out using confectioners sugar only. It sweetens the dough just nicely and keeps them lighter

  2. A few years ago they won Gainsville Sun’s best cookie contest. Don’t think the tasters had ever had them before. I was surprised as most Southerners sweets are super sweet.
